Edmonton is known for its diverse communities and its mixture of both heritage and entertainment among those communities. Each neighborhood has its own charm and draws but i will try and point out the ones I feel are most welcoming and good for families and young professionals at this time.
My Top 4 Edmonton Communities for Edmonton Apartments :
I think those 4 are the best for single family housing options. They are all mature neighborhoods with more greenspace then most, nearby gorges and other natural wonders yet still in the vicinity of nearly all of metropolitan Edmonton.
Traffic is not an issue as there are many routes to get to major destinations. The light rails services these areas so one is not stuck having to use an auto all the time.
Since these are the best communities, apartments and houses can be hard to come by. It’s important to have an insider for help or to use a dedicated web portal.
The houses are fun and old, so it’s definitely possible to get a house with real “character”. But because of the affluence of the areas they are usually in great condition.
Some nearby neighbourhoods such as, Lynwood, Rio Terrace, Meadowlark, Westmount, McQueen are worth looking into also.
