The Royal Wedding guests all wore top priced designer wear and Chelsy Davy was no different.
Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry’s on/off girlfriend, turned up at the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton wearing an Alberta Ferretti two piece skirt and jacket in a gorgeous aquamarine color. While fashionistas across the world rave, I’d have to shake my head and say, no she could have done better. While the color was lovely and he matching gold high heeled shoes matched her blond hair perfectly, the top was too fussy and the skirt too plain.
Italian designer Alberta Ferretti is much sought after among the rich and famous, but to be honest I have seen better off-the-shelf outfits in many High Street chain stores.
Chelsy Davy herself is no stranger to money. Her father is a multi-billionaire Zimbabwean land-owner and safari operator who used some pocket change to buy Chelsy a 3 bedroom flat in upmarket Belgravia for a cool £1.5M ($2.4M).
At the wedding itself, Chelsy also sported a Lana Marks Safari Clutch bag, which you would expect considering her father’s business activities, and for the reception she carried a Lana Marks Cleopatra Clutch. I wonder did she lose the first one. I mean, who needs two handbags on a day out? Lena Marks designed her first ever handbag for Princess Diana, and has become something of a celebrity amongst Hollywood’s finest including Angelina Jolie, Julie Christie, Helen Mirron, Drew Barrymore, Chloe Sevigny, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron, Lucy Liu, Oprah Winfrey, Julianne Moore and Reese Witherspoon.
Based in Palm Beach, Florida, Lana Marks handbags are among the most expensive in the world. Generally they are fashioned from leather, but the Lana Marks Safari Clutch and Cleopatra Clutch, are made from crocodile skin, similar to the one she made especially for her friend, Princess Diana.
